Our Mission Statement:
Newport Harbor High School is a public institution that promises "inclusion of all students" and at no time will a student be dismissed from a curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular program attached to the school, dismissed from instruction, and/or receive a lower grade due to a financial hardship.

Coach Jeff Brinkley believes that playing high school football is a privilege that should not have to be paid for. The Newport Harbor Football program is primarily funded by the activities and fundraising efforts of the NHHS Football Boosters. The outstanding level of achievement, coaching, and success that NHHS Football has always enjoyed, will best maintained by the perpetual financial contributions of our parents, former players, and the entire NHHS family.

2011 VARSITY SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
September 9th, 2011

The Sailors suffered a loss last night to Trabuco Hills Mustangs

cole passing The Sailors season opener may have resulted in a loss last night, but they looked very strong against the Trabuco Hills Mustangs. The loss was tough, but it was a good learning experience for this very young Sailor team. Cole Blower led the Sailors and made some very exciting plays by taking advantage of the Mustang defense some terrific passes down field. Blower was extremely poised in the pocket and demonstrated a natural calm and ability to lead the team this season Fullback Grant Frazier pounded out some good yardage, while Titus Hasson had some very exciting runs with his amazing breakaway speed. The defense also had some great moments. Stevie Michaelsen was a clear standout and sealed off the opposing line with his agile quickness. The linebacker crew stuck it to the Mustangs all night and made several key stops.. The sailors have a number of sophomore and junior players, but they all held their own and showed consistent improvement throughout the contest. The Sailors take on Loyola next Friday night in their season Home Opener at Davidson Field. With a good week of practices next week, the Sailors will be set to do battle. GO SAILORS!!!!
